Amy Adams is an Italian-American actress. She started out with the ambition of becoming a ballerina, but was forced to scrap her dream as a result of a pulled muscle. For this reason. Adams began pursuing film, landing a small role in Drop Dead Gorgeous. After a series of failed television roles, she was cast as Brenda Strong alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the Steven Spielberg film Catch Me If You Can. This was not her breakthrough role, however. Her role in the low budget film Junebug attracted critical and popular attention.
